2011 Winter Solstice Gathering
Leeward Oahu
December 13-18, 2011

Gathering Overview
The Fire Tribe Hawaii community invites you to celebrate the 2011 Winter Solstice!
Fire Tribe Hawaii holds multi-day, participant-created Gatherings focused on
all-night sacred fire circles. Together, we create a safe, mindful space for transformation.
Our Gatherings are not parties, raves, drum jams or seminars, but something entirely different. In our Circle, people from all paths and traditions share heart-song, chant, ecstatic dance, drumming and music making, adornment, ritual theater and community art.
Please step forward and share your own personal offering: a poem, painting, prayer or playshop.
Dates
Early Village Builders: Arrive Tuesday, December 13 to begin setting up the circle and community areas.
Gathering: Begins Wednesday, December 14. Arrive Wednesday, Thursday or Friday
and leave by Sunday afternoon, December 18.
We encourage you to attend for as many days as you can. The extra time helps us to build a sense of community and connection that a one-night event can not create.
Location
We meet at a beautiful private campground in the Leeward mountains of Oahu. We have exclusive use of our venue for the event. Accommodations include tent-camping, bunk-houses, hot showers, and optional meal plan.
Parents and Kids
Parents, feel welcome to bring your children and teens to the Gathering. Of course, we expect that all parents and guardians will ensure their kids always have appropriate levels of adult supervision. We encourage you to connect in advance with other families and volunteers to plan kids' activities and arrange to share in caretaking. If you have any questions, please email us at
info@firetribehawaii.org.
